Coby Brown is a songwriter, composer and recording artist based in Los Angeles.  He produced his latest full length record, the forthcoming “Everything Looks Different to Me Now” along with Justin Stanley (Prince, Jamie Liddell).  The 14 songs on the album find Brown reenergized and are a marked departure from 2013’s stark French Exit.  It’s a breath of fresh air that finds Brown in command of his craft and comfortable in his own skin.

Brown’s songs have appeared in films including “Nothing But the Truth”,  “The River Why” and “Answers to Nothing”, and songs from his record French Exit (2013) are featured on Showtime’s Shameless and can be heard on the Counting Crows’ 2012 covers album, Underwater Sunshine.

Coby wrote the music for “The Man Who Knew Infinity” (dir. Matt Brown), a biopic of the Indian mathematical genius S.K. Ramanujan, starring Jeremy Irons and Dev Patel and the PBC SoCal documentary series “Angelino” (dir. Peter Jones), and he has created music for corporate clients including Microsoft and Motorola.

He’s currently writing the music for KCET’s forthcoming docuseries “Blue Sky Metropolis”, directed by Peter Jones.
