Recorded in Berlin with producer Simon Berckelman, the 19-year-old singer’s debut EP occupies similar stylistic territory as her follow country-woman LORDE and it’s inspired stuff – especially the striking lead single “SILHOUETTES”. Says Kaitlin: “I was born in Portland, Oregon and lived in the United States until I was twelve. Then my perfectly sane family took the leap half way around the world and moved to Auckland, NZ. Now that I am coming up on half my life in each country, I am proud to be an American and a Kiwi. The alternative contemporary sound to my music has come about from my exposure and background in both cultures.”
