Alternative recording artist Sirsa Shekim is singer/songwriter meets 80’s glam with a pervasive classical twist. Her influences, which range from 80’s pop to musical theater and folk — include Sade, Radiohead, Charles Aznavour, the Mediterranean, French films, hot air balloons, and the colors of the sky.
Her music has been featured alongside Paris Hilton, Pink, Chris Rock, Disney, hit TV shows and more. The title track off her latest EP “Black Into My Life,” sounds like Madonna and Julie Andrews having an aperitif with James Bond.
Sirsa has written theme songs for Chinese film I Do and Russian film First Love: It’s the Music. Her Italian-based producer Federico Ferrandina co-wrote several songs on her new EP and composed lovely piano, string, and guitar arrangements — all recorded in his hometown of Italy.
